Is Rahul Dravid Better Test player than Sachin Tendulkar?

They say Tendulkar is GOD of Cricket, many of the cricketers across the world have praised his skills.
In 1999 tourto INDIA Hayden said "I have seen the GOD and he plays at no 4 for INDIA" ...Wowww ..!!!

But stats says something different, sometime back Holding Willey's report came up with all time top 20 for INDIA.
They have ranked Rahul Dravid at no 1 and Sachin Tendulkar at no 4.
Gavaskar and Sehwag at no 3 and 4 respectively.

Do you really think Dravid is the better Test player than Tendulkar.
IF you look at the Dravid's contribution in winning the test matches abroad it is better than Sachin's.
Even he plays at no 3 which is very very crucial position for Tests.

ram according to u i think the one who is responsible for winning the test match is the one who scores the winning runs and the one who takes the last wickets but its not right let me give an example in the test match against england in chennai on day4 india started its cahes of 400 odd runs according to u it will be yuvi who won the match for us But it was sehwags brilliant 85 and sachins 100 odd not out that helped yuvi to finish the game along with sachin

see dravid is top order bat and sachin is middle order bat the pressure in both places is different and u cannot compare the two both sachin and dravid have different style of batting and both are the best in their positions

Yea true .. Tendulkar knows how to play ODIs but he is not that good in Test Matches... Not a single inning of Tendulakr is listed in WISDEN top 100 innings of All Time ..

hey @ram & @ttony - i guess u both doenst have any idea about cricket.... u cannot compare these two batsmen, they are totally different in their position. how can u compare an opening batsman with an middle order batsman... first u learn the stats of cricket then put ur comments about it.

as far as i understand cricket, sachin is far far far better than dravid... dravid doesnt know how to play cricket in a critical situation where as sachin has proven his ability when india was in critical situation.

i dont like sachin's strategy, he always score 70s and 80s in a very short span of time and when it comes to his century he become nervous and thats not good as a player for his team, if u consider dravid he plays very steady during his entire inning and which is very reasonable as a good batsman...
so i consider dravid over sachin..
